The year 2020 was a difficult year, to say the least. This year, we lived
through a global pandemic, a contentious national election, and nearly a year of
virtual church. Despite the challenges, God has brought us and our congregation
through to a new year – hopefully a year that will bring better circumstances
than this past one.
I’m re-upping this article I wrote a few years back of some inspirational
quotes and scripture passages upon which to meditate as we approach 2021.
May these inspire hope and strengthen our faith for the coming year.

“Glory to God in highest heaven,
Who unto man His Son hath given;
While angels sing with tender mirth,
A glad new year to all the earth.”
-Martin Luther

Love is a fruit in season at all times, and within the reach of every hand.”
– Mother Teresa.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By his great mercy he has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” – 1 Peter 1:3
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” – Lamentations 3:22

“If anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new!” – 2 Corinthians 5:17

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” – Romans 15:13

May the new year be filled with promise and many blessings from God!

Blessings,        Hilary
