It’s hard to believe we’re in
October already! We’ve come a long way since last October. Last year at
this time, we were worshipping virtually due to COVID-19. There were
no vaccines available, and we had no idea how much longer we were
going to be in lockdown. Since that time, vaccines have become available,
we’ve been able to return to worship in our sanctuary, and we are
hopefully moving past this pandemic to more normalcy.

Though this last year has been tough, God has been faithful to us. God has
provided for us financially and materially. God has also given us a strong faith and
resilience, along with creativity and a can-do spirit. Just think of all we’ve been able
to do over this past year! We’ve learned new technology that allowed us to stay
connected with one another. We’re pros at Zoom and YouTube and Facebook.
We’ve set up our sanctuary for livestreaming, allowing us to broadcast our worship
to an even wider audience than ever before. We’ve also continued to care for one
another, as well as continue our efforts to help those in our community who are in
need. God has indeed been faithful.

I’m so thankful for all of you, for your love and support for me and our
congregation, for your resilience and commitment to this church, despite the many
challenges of this past year. We are currently in our season of stewardship. I hope
you will reflect upon all the blessings God has given us as a congregation, and I hope
you will be moved to make a generous commitment to support our church
financially over the next year. We’re blessed to have our endowment, which helps
us financially do all the ministry we believe God is calling us to do. We’re also
blessed by your regular financial giving, which allows us to invest and preserve
endowment for the future, while supporting the ministry God is calling us to do here
and now in our church and community. Thank you for your generous gifts! Your
gifts make all we do possible!
Blessings,

Hilary
